This academic year we launched a new M.A. degree at the University of Warsaw. It is addressed at all those who want to work as linguists or data scientists and combine linguistic background with the knowledge of statistics and programming.
After finishing the degree, students will be able to work in academia and on the market and will be equipped with the very much desirable theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
With the first round of enrolment, we recruited 20 young people with remarkable potential, interested in conducting projects in corpus linguistics, natural language processing, eye-tracking and EEG, as well as discourse analysis. I am really happy to be the programme administrator and to work with such a great group of students!
